This should in theory, at least prevent other servers from pretending to be lotro. There are quite a lot of good titles now that run natively on Linux or through Steam on Linux.

You might try that to see if it resolves your issue. You can ignore the error's in the PyLotRO output window, or you can try configuring your sound aindows winecfg.

Normally the TurbineLauncher would grab these.

Since you are asking for a windows version, I assume that's what you're using currently? PyLOTRO is on github, feel free to contribute a patch, or fork and update it if you have those skills. However there is a list of things you can do to try to kick windowz performance up an extra notch.

This reminds me that the connection error handling in pylotro is bugged too, so I'll have to fix that too Sometime during that time they lost their lead dev as I recall and that may have also added to the lackluster showing.
